Well, for us in the consumer packaged goods business, these awards are a big deal — especially if you are a small company like us!

The ADDY Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 50,000 entries every year in local ADDY competitions. The mission of the ADDY competition is to recognize and reward creative excellence in the art of advertising.

The ADDY awards start at the local market level, and the competition then moves through Regional and National tiers.  Fave was evaluated in Michigan, because that is where our Agency partner is based.

We are thrilled to announce that Fave was honored with a GOLD ADDY Award, the highest award available.

The ADDY specifically recognized Fave for our “Sales Promotion Packaging Campaign”.  I am pretty sure that means the judges really liked our bottles.

Fave even received a special judges’ award as well … so we think we are doing something right.

FIRST, I am guessing that most of you probably aren’t regular readers of PROGRESSIVE GROCER.  In fact, I’d bet that many of you are unfamiliar with this publication.

For those of us who operate in the supermarket industry, PROGRESSIVE GROCER (PG) occupies a special spot as one of the leading publications for this exciting industry – for more than 90 years!

What are the InterBev awards?  Well, put it this way … InterBev is the largest industry group on Earth for the Beverage industry … this includes everything that you drink, from alcoholic beverages to carbonated soft drinks.  The 2012 InterBev Awards
included over 170 entries from 15 countries.

The really cool part: there were only 8 companies selected as speakers, so we feel very special.  It is especially gratifying when you address an audience, and the first to approach you afterwards are from Australia and Germany … it reminds you how large the world beverage business is in scale.

Football season, back-to-school, cool nights and bright, sunny days.

We love autumn and all the great things that go along with this season — except one.

We start to spend more time indoors, and that means we do more sitting — and we get less exercise than during the summer.
